Kris Petersen

Kris Petersen is a consultant and coach with think2perform.

Kris has a track record and a passion for developing the leadership potential in others, and brings this to her consulting work with clients of think2perform. She works with business and non-profit leaders who want to increase their leadership effectiveness and productivity and she has a great deal of experience and success working with financial advisors who want deeper and more productive relationships with their clients.

Her approach to working with her clients involves listening and understanding what their goals and objectives are and helping them get at what is stopping them from achieving them, whether it is a business, staff or leadership issue or some combination of these. Kris has the unique ability to offer business and leadership consulting and coaching for her clients at the same time.

Kris has an impressive track record as a financial services executive with over 27 years experience with Ameriprise Financial and American Express, US Bank, Marquette Financial Services, Green Tree Acceptance, First Trust Company and First American National Bank.

While at Ameriprise Financial, she led and transformed many business lines including Brokerage, Cash Management, Wrap Programs, Non- proprietary Products and the company’s value proposition, Financial Planning and Advice.

Kris’s broad experience includes strategy development and execution, product development and management, marketing, sales training and support, software development and support, operations, and legal and compliance.

Kris has a BA in Finance from St. Cloud State University, and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. She has been active in non-profit leadership, including the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Minneapolis, the Foundation for Financial Planning, and the Professional Association of Treatment Homes.

Kris resides in Minneapolis, and spends her free time volunteering at her favorite charities, spending time with friends and family, throwing pottery, reading and running.
